Unfortunately, most of us walking around aren’t aware of what to do if we find ourselves in a sinking vehicle. Fear & panic will set in, costing us precious time. Take the time to learn what the steps are & coach you & your loved ones on them.
Here’s what you need to do ⬇️:
Here is a conversation I had once with a child protection supervisor:
Social worker supervisor: The mother keeps lying to us about the domestic violence.
Me: It sounds like you are pretty angry at her for not telling you the truth about what's happening.
Social work supervisor: Yes I am because the child is in danger.
Me: Are you more angry at her for lying than you at the perpetrator for creating the danger in the first place?
Social work supervisor: *awkward silence*
We have trained an entire cohort of professionals to be angrier at domestic violence survivors than at the perpetrators of domestic violence. "Failure to protect" culture is real. It's a set of unwritten rules, practices and beliefs that direct practitioners to blame mothers who are survivors and ignore fathers who are perpetrating violence. This is unfair, inefficient, ineffective and unsafe. And we can do it better. #StopBlamingMothers #StopIgnoringFathers
📈 7 in 10 women in prison have experienced domestic violence.
📈Nearly 7 in 10 of the public believe the government should be doing more to tackle violence against women as highlighted by @EVAWuk's new #VAWGSnapshot report.

Yesterday i celebrated my 36th birthday. i feel proud to look at the song lyrics and know that NONE of them are true anymore. I’ve grown into a completely new man…one that i’m proud of. check this out… 🧵
People in pain don’t need people telling them to be more positive. They need people to sit with them as they are and show them respect for what they’re trying to overcome.
How many women on here had sex with a man when you didn’t want to, because he
insisted
begged
pleaded
forced
threatened
bargained
promised
cried
said “just the tip,” etc.
And you let him continue what he was doing just to get it over with?
I’m trying to see something.
Joseph interpreted the Pharaoh’s dream but his ability to access wisdom for how to navigate the 7 years of blessing followed by 7 years of extreme famine, set Egypt up to resource the world.
Joseph’s ability to see the future and then use his futurist insights to develop a stewardship strategy to resource the high and lows of their extremely volatile agricultural economy was crucial for their survival.
But not only did Egypt survive, they thrived as a nation. Those 14 years created so much wealth for years that followed because they were wise in their years of abundance.
Vision isn’t just about building great ministries or establishing a noble city- it’s about understanding how to steward the epoch season of life in a way that resources the world in crisis.
This is the nature of Isaiah 60. You can’t rise in dark times if you haven’t stewarded your resources well in the years of abundance.
Kings brought their wealth to Egypt because they needed to purchase the necessities of life to survive.
Prophetic people need to become famous not just for seeing the future but for living future- present in a way that demonstrates the wisdom of the God who loves people enough to provide for them in every season of life.
