Taylor Swift will be inducted into the Nashville Songwriters Hall of Fame at 36 years old, the youngest writer ever to receive the honor.

“From the time I started writing songs as a child, I fixated on Nashville as the perfect place to be,” Swift wrote in a statement. “I wanted to learn with and from the best and get to immerse myself in a community of storytellers, and thankfully Nashville turned out to be exactly what I’d dreamed of. A town that validated and prioritized hard work, determination and imagination. Where the writers show up to work every day even when the mysterious muses and the magic don’t. To be honored by this city I love so much is a beautiful thing, and I’m very grateful.”

The accolade follows Swift having been inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in New York in June, at which point she became the youngest female writer ever to join that hall.

Após Taylor Swift remover suas músicas de diversos vídeos publicados pelo presidente dos Estados Unidos, Donald Trump, a revista Vanity Fair publicou uma matéria sobre a estratégia adotada pelo presidente e sua equipe de utilizar grandes sucessos de estrelas pop como trilha sonora de vídeos de propaganda publicados nas redes sociais.

Segundo a revista, a prática parece ter como objetivo provocar um conflito direto com artistas que frequentemente se opõem às políticas do presidente e, consequentemente, ampliar o alcance e o impacto dessas publicações.

A revista destaca que essa estratégia “acaba de esbarrar no império de direitos autorais da cantora mais poderosa do planeta: Taylor Swift, que aparentemente conseguiu silenciar completamente diversas publicações da Casa Branca e da campanha republicana feitas na última semana.
