Deve ser muito bom a pessoa nascer bonita assim, tipo vc sai na rua e ja chama a atenção de todo mundo que ta no ambiente, isso é foda e ja vi acontecendo varias vezes.
Bill Gates offered his childhood friend Paul Allen $5 per share to buy him out of Microsoft. Allen refused and kept the stock that would eventually help make him worth an estimated $40B.
Months earlier, while Allen was undergoing cancer treatment, he had overheard Gates and Steve Ballmer discussing how to reduce his ownership in the company they had built together.
The 2 had known each other since school.
Allen was 15 when he met 13-year-old Gates. They spent their teenage years working with computers and eventually founded Microsoft in 1975.
But the ownership split had been a source of tension from the beginning.
Gates initially wanted 60% of the company.
Allen got 40%.
Later, Gates pushed for another adjustment.
64% for himself.
36% for Allen.
Allen agreed.
Microsoft kept growing. Its deal to supply software for IBM's personal computer put the business on a completely different trajectory.
Then, in 1982, Allen was diagnosed with Hodgkin's lymphoma.
He began radiation treatment and gradually reduced his involvement in the company.
One evening in December, he walked past Gates' office.
Gates was talking with Steve Ballmer.
According to Allen, they were discussing his reduced productivity and how they could dilute his Microsoft equity by issuing stock options to themselves and others.
Allen stopped outside the door and listened.
Then he walked in.
He confronted both men and left.
That evening, Ballmer came to his house to apologize.
Days later, Gates sent a handwritten apology.
6 pages long.
But Allen had decided to leave.
In February 1983, he resigned from Microsoft.
Gates offered to buy his shares for $5 each.
Allen wanted at least $10.
Gates wouldn't pay it.
So Allen kept his stock.
When Microsoft went public in 1986, Allen still owned roughly 25% of the company.
As Microsoft grew into one of the world's largest businesses, his shares made him one of the richest people alive.
At one point, his fortune was estimated at $40B.
The 2 friends eventually repaired their relationship.
But Allen never forgot the conversation he overheard during his cancer treatment.
Gates had offered him $5 a share to leave.
Allen left.
His shares stayed.
@DudeScent Actually the only difference between me and them is who our parents are. It's not about dick size, intelligence, or sexuality. It has to do with Capitalism.
Before he became a billionaire, John Paul DeJoria’s wife left him with their toddler and a note: she couldn’t handle being a mother anymore.
In the video below, founder of biggest tequila brand recalls finding his son and becoming homeless.
He was 22. His son was two and a half.
DeJoria says his wife had stopped paying the rent without telling him, emptied their small bank account and taken their only car. Soon, he and his son were evicted.
He borrowed an old Cadillac with a broken water pump. It became their home. To buy food, he collected empty bottles and returned them for a few cents each.
He admits that pride made things worse. He didn’t want to tell his family how badly he needed help.
A friend eventually offered them a room and helped him get back on his feet.
In 1980, DeJoria and hairdresser Paul Mitchell started a company with $700 between them. He later co-founded Patrón, which Bacardi acquired in a deal valuing the business at $5.1 billion.
But in this interview, he remembers standing in front of his little boy with no money and no idea how he would feed him.
What kind of mother leaves her toddler behind with a note, and is there any explanation you could accept?
A 95-YEAR-OLD MAN WHO SLEPT WITH OVER 300 WOMEN TOLD ME THIS ON HIS DEATHBED:
"Son, the biggest lie men believe is that women have no options."
Then he revealed 5 dark truths about female nature most men learn too late.
- THREAD 🧵 -
1. WOMEN DON'T LACK OPTIONS. THEY MANAGE THEM.
While you're celebrating her reply...
Another man is texting her.
Another is calling.
Another wants to take her out.
Never mistake her attention for a lack of options.
2. MEN CHASE ATTENTION. WOMEN FILTER IT.
Many men struggle to get noticed.
Many women struggle to choose whom to notice.
Your mistake?
Thinking you're the only man pursuing her.
Competition often happens silently.
3. WOMEN DON'T STRUGGLE TO FIND MEN.
They struggle to find men they genuinely respect.
Chasing harder won't make you special.
Confidence, ambition, and self-respect will make you stand out.
4. MEN PURSUE. WOMEN CHOOSE.
While men try to impress, women observe.
Who's desperate?
Who's confident?
Who's trying too hard?
The man who doesn't beg for attention often stands out.
5. THE DATING GAME REWARDS VALUE, NOT FAIRNESS.
Some women attract attention easily.
Many men must work harder to get noticed.
Complaining changes nothing.
Improve your appearance.
Build your finances.
Develop confidence.
Create your own options.
THE OLD MAN'S FINAL WORDS:
"Son, the moment you stop believing women owe you attention is the moment you understand the game."
THE LESSON:
Stop chasing validation.
Stop putting women on pedestals.
Build yourself into a man with standards, purpose, and options.
A man who knows his worth doesn't beg to be chosen.
