Transferring your points to an airline partner usually costs fewer points than booking the same flight through your credit card portal. Same seat, fewer points. Few people are aware, and the ones who do still won't make the transfer without someone walking them through it the first time.
There are a hundred things like that. Which card earns what, which transfer bonus is live this month, when award space opens, when to pay cash for a leg instead of points. The rules shift constantly and no one teaches you.
That is the real gap. Not finding deals. Learning how to actually use what you already have.
If you live in this world, expert or someone who just got burned by your portal - let's talk.
I got on a call with a travel expert to understand how the experts actually book travel on points.
Turns out, it's not as easy as you think.
He pulled up a live example mid-call. A United route showing 88,000 miles on https://t.co/wk5xwwond6 was bookable for 75,000 through Airpaz. Same flight. 13,000 miles saved. Airpaz had broader transfer partner coverage on top of that.
If an expert is still tab-hopping between three tools to catch a 15% difference, the average traveler has no shot.
The gap isn't a lack of offers. It's that nobody does the strategic routing for you.
If you're an expert in the travel and points space, hit me up, would love to hop on a quick call as well.
50,000 points can buy you a $500 economy seat in your card's portal.
The same 50,000 points can buy a $4,200 business class lie-flat to São Paulo.
Most people never make that trade. Not because they can't see the options, but because the analysis is brutal. Which offer is actually worth it. Whether the seat is still bookable. Whether transferring your points somewhere else gets you double the value. That math is all on you, and by the time you've done it by hand, the seats are gone.
So the people who are great at this treat it like a part-time job. Everyone else gives up and leaves thousands of points rotting in an account, losing value every year.
I'm building the thing that does that analysis for you and just tells you the one move worth making. Right now I'm interviewing travel hackers to learn how they actually decide.
If you book business class on points and have opinions about how this should work, reach out.

When you're juggling different loyalty programs and transfer offers, how valuable would it be to have a tool that compares everything for you? Would you pay for that? If not, what value would you expect in order to pay?
Booking travel with points is broken.
Too many tabs, too much guesswork.
Most people waste their #points + loyalty perks.
I’m building an AI assistant that optimizes your travel path using your points.
