Two Black boys running a lemonade stand received an unexpected show of support after someone called 911 on them. Instead of shutting them down, Kansas City police officers and firefighters showed up to support them, helping them earn hundreds of dollars. This is what community should look like! Investing in our youth instead off discouraging their entrepreneurship. ✊🏿

This milestone was reached before the RIAA adjusted its certification standards to 1 million, making it the last album to achieve platinum status with 2 million sales.

40 years ago this month, music history was made when Prince dropped his 9-track album Purple Rain, followed by the motion picture of the same name. The album and film won Prince two Grammys, two American Music Awards, a Brit Award, and an Academy Award for "Best Original Song Score." The Library of Congress added the album to the National Recording Registry in 2012 for being “culturally, historically, or aesthetically important."

On June 21, 2024, The Revolution will be playing a live concert at First Avenue in downtown Minneapolis as part of Celebration 2024! The track became Prince’s first #1 hit, spending 21 weeks on the Billboard Top 100 charts, 5 of those at #1. One of Prince's most recognizable songs, bass is notably absent from "When Doves Cry," which was a last minute production choice.
