As a Muslim, you can DO WHATEVER you want in your worldly affairs ( own a G-wagon, mansions, eat your favorite foods, etc ), except what is CLEARLY FORBIDDEN by Allah, but in matters of your religion, DO NOTHING, except what the prophet did or what you see SAHIH evidence for.
Asalaamualaykum Muslims,
I came across the Satanic Bible (stay away from it), and I checked in it for their celebrations/festivals/‘eids.
Under the chapter titled “Religious Holidays”, it says, and I quote:
“The highest of all holidays in the Satanic religion is the date of one’s own birth.”
“…Every man is a god if he chooses to recognize himself as one. So, the Satanist celebrates his own birthday as the most important holiday of the year.”
It has also been established, the pagan origins of celebrating birthdays, cakes, candles, etc.
So let me put it this way, if you asked the Prophet ﷺ, would he say it is fine/good to celebrate your birthdays?
