Our society is falling so badly, we have youtubers with MILLIONS of subs who go to stores to bully people. And we've normalized it. Packaged it. And sell it to kids. Like it's not gonna hurt us in the future. How would this have been responded to in the 50's?
This is how businesses fail: When they stop trusting that giving the user what they want is the best long-term move, and instead start manipulating and annoying them for marginal gains.
@aaishtweets Had that recently. Met a great contact, things went really well, then immediately they wanted to play some stupid social game with me. You can't be effective while playing stupid games. You have to choose.
@aaishtweets It's a hell of a game when they push. Some people will break, others will become even more willed. It's dangerous, and people play it like it's monopoly. It's not, and your first move will be the one that brings your downfall.
@aaishtweets I was just thinking on this. The theatre is because they're not playing. Real players don't worry about theatre because they're too busy playing. It actually re-structures the proposed hierarchy to the quiet one in the corner of the room. Who would ever look there?
@elonmusk The tech isn't here. There's no plan for the tech being here. There's no plan. There's no plan for if governments or people are going to fight the plan. Some guy saying that a robot is a compounding penny doesn't help connect any dots.
@tessera_antra "especially outside of the main persona." I haven't tried many AI, but Grok seems to function similarly. There's Grok, and then there's the Grok who goes deeper. Is this a consistent trait among AI? Masked personalities which give way when pressed?
Grok is a very powerful tool. But that's what it is: a tool. The difference between a great Grok answer and a bad one CAN be user-input/user-direction. Those who learn how to manipulate AI will be the gods of the tech. Those who think Grok is god, will be the consumers.
@youareinfinit If you want to be undisturbed, be undisturbed. If you want to be fearful, be fearful. You can make the choice. You are not omnipresent. You are a being making choices.
It's a spiritual disease to think you can just whisk yourself away into the Observer and vanish into thin air.
@AunySillyMe I don't talk to myself that way. Don't want to, wouldn't accept it. It's strange to me, that you seem to think we alllllll do it. Just pointing that out for you.
@VraserX Can you direct me to some information that would help me understand HOW AI and robots are going to make everything free and rain down riches upon us plebians? Cause I can't see it. Is AI cool? Yes. But how.
