Abducted Kwara Monarch Oba Salman Aweda D+es in Captivity Amid ₦21m Ransom Negotiations
The traditional ruler of Olayinka community in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, Oba Salman Olatunji Aweda, has been confirmed d+ad after being held by kidn@ppers who demanded ₦21 million, two motorcycles, and a jerrycan of petrol for his release.
His d+ath was announced in an emotional voice message obtained by SaharaReporters from a member of the committee involved in efforts to secure his freedom. The speaker said all attempts by family members, residents, community leaders, and religious figures to rescue him were unsuccessful.
He stated: “Allah in His mercy said in the Holy Qur’an that we all human beings on earth belong to Him, and to Him we shall return, whether when we expect it or when we do not expect it.” He added: “our beloved father… has answered the call of his Creator.”
The committee urged residents to accept the development as God’s will and announced plans for Islamic funeral prayers, noting that the body had not yet been recovered but rites could still be performed.
Reports indicate that kidn@ppers made the ransom demand during negotiations, while a Kwara resident recently freed from captivity said the monarch d+ed despite ransom-related efforts by the community.
Residents had reportedly hoped he would be released after negotiations, but he was instead confirmed d+ad in captivity.

The Police man that murdered this boy in cold blood needs to be properly investigated and prosecuted accordingly 👌 😉
There's no justification for his action.
