Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta today attended the 8th convocation ceremony of Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University for Women and congratulated graduating students, saying women empowered with technical education will play a decisive role in shaping the country’s future.
She noted that the 1,181 students graduating this year were not just receiving degrees; they were stepping forward as future leaders who would contribute to the progress of society through their knowledge, skills, and leadership.
Delhi’s Education Minister, Ashish Sood, said the convocation was not only a celebration of academic achievement but also a message that young women are emerging as builders, innovators, and leaders of the future.
He said India is currently passing through the phase of “Amrit Kaal", and women’s participation during this period has become one of the country’s greatest strengths.
