E-scooters, e-bike, segways...where is the wheelchair access. This bothers me and has me thinking on what I can do as a lawyer to address this issue! Stay tuned!

#WhenICallMyselfDisabled I was 16 when in one moment I was living as an able-bodied person and in the next moment was sitting in a hospital being told I’d never walk again...when I call myself disabled I am acknowledging my whole self. Every part of it. https://t.co/6KRw3zCQCu
It only takes one person, with one idea for change. When I was denied a ride on @Uber I wanted to address accessibility in rideshares. Thanks to @UnitedSpinal for the support and guidance on my advocacy journey. https://t.co/wd2EqIkQzV
When I gave birth to Maile this past April, I became the first Senator to have a child while serving in office. But through my nine months of pregnancy—and my time in labor—I wasn’t thinking about making history. I was thinking about staying healthy. (thread)
We mourn the passing of @SenJohnMcCain, co-sponsor of the ADA, one of few Republicans to recommend ratification of the CRPD and saved the ACA. May we honor his memory by continuing to work together to fight for the rights of all.
@emily_ladau Love this (posted on my Facebook page The Pushy Lawyer). Seeing this all over New England. They can put electricity, HVAC in old structures...but a ramp, that’s an absurd idea, apparently!

Access is not a nice-to-have.
Access is a need-to-have.
Access is not a privilege.
Access is a civil right.

Say it with me now:
Access is not a nice-to-have.
Access is a need-to-have.
Access is not a privilege.
Access is a civil right.
Seriously disturbed to see GA using the disability community as an excuse to shut down 75% of the polling locations in a predominately black, low-income county. #cripthevote@staceyabrams@GeorgiaDemocrat https://t.co/u2ws8HxJwd
Disappointed to find out that only way to see #johnadams birth place is to do guided tour with @NatlParkService on a #trolley that is not accessible. They joked the trolley lift hasn’t worked in 15 yrs. why is there no accessibility? Shouldn’t NPS be accessible to all?
Disability and pregnancy isn’t a topic that often goes together. My son will be 2 tmrw and I’ve been reflecting all day on those last moments of pregnancy. Let’s embrace the different ways pregnancy looks like for women! #disability#spinalcordinjury#sci#pregnancy#visibility
I recently finished watching The Keepers, and was blown away by what it was about. Now we hear in the news that 300 priest, just in PA, are accused of sexual misconduct to over 1,000 victims. Maybe it’s time for the Catholic faith to look at putting women in leadership!
Some great reporting here by @JulieCareyNBC-it looks like Vienna station has closed all gates except to south entrance (where there is a HEAVY police presence) and they are only allowing #UniteTheRight2 riders through there. Still no comment from @fairfaxcounty or @wmata.
I’m holding on to these moments of my baby wanting me to hold him. His little legs tucked up so he can fit exactly on my chest. His head resting perfectly on my shoulder. The stillness… https://t.co/1Fm69XPafT
