The strategy behind T.O.P’s free fan-meet ticket system is pure genius.
By renting a huge 10,000-seat arena, he deleted “scarcity”. Scalpers can’t sell overpriced tickets because everyone can get a free ticket directly from him.
Tier 1 members can bring 2 friends; Tier 2 can bring 1. This fully satisfies the market demand internally. When scalpers look for desperate fans to buy their tickets, they will find nobody. The market is already full.
Other companies use “hunger marketing” to make fans stress out and fight for tickets. T.O.P paid for the whole arena out of his own pocket because he doesn’t need your money, he wants your dignity.
It’s a calculated war against toxic K-pop capitalism instead just a fan-meet. Absolute boss behaviour!
