@1646Sam@sadleftist Society created all of us and I simply have never scalped from poor people to get myself out of poverty. “No ethical consumption” cop out type argument so you can blame capitalism for your participation in perpetuating the harm our society causes.
@juicyjNYC@sadleftist Yall rip all the good/ unique items from the thrift store and then resell them for ridiculous prices. Poor people deserve cool stuff too, & without access to it, turn to fast fashion. You are fueling the fast fashion industry. You contribute to society as much as a ticket scalper
it’s crazy to take this whole thing as “this guy is being annoying” and not “wow this guy has to work a million times harder to get the same recognition as other directors trying way less to connect with their audiences”. and also then not make the connection as to why that is
isn't it funny how being anti-cop & anti-ice is a universal statement but being anti-military is a taboo that will get you called a classist. isn't it interesting how we only judge systems of power when they harm americans but they are not that bad if they affect the global south
Let me trace the timeline here because nobody's connecting it.
Step 1: Scrape the entire internet. Every book, every article, every conversation, every piece of art, every forum post. Do it without asking. Do it without paying.
Step 2: Train a model on all of it. Call it "artificial intelligence."
Step 3: Go to BlackRock's Infrastructure Summit and announce: "We see a future where intelligence is a utility, like electricity or water, and people buy it from us on a meter."
Step 3 is where you sell people's own knowledge back to them. On a meter.
They took the collective output of human thought, compressed it into a model, and now they want to charge you by the token to access a version of what you and everyone you know already created.
One Reddit user put it perfectly: "They stole all this data from us, the people, our life's work, creativity, art, by devouring the internet and blowing through all copyright laws. Now they want to sell it back to us in the form of a utility."
Imagine if someone photocopied every book in the public library, burned the library down, and then opened a subscription service for the copies.
That's the metered intelligence business model.
And they're pitching it to infrastructure investors as though they invented water.
I got on birth control when I was 16 and then got my tubes out + ablation so I haven’t had a period in 11 years. Because of this, when women speak on this experience I shut the fuck up and let them talk because I can’t relate. Men could learn from this!
Women/non men cannot trust these men because their beliefs are deeply rooted in misogyny. They have surrounded themselves with women haters even if some refuse to believe they are one. Quick to obey and slow/unlikely to research, they are impressionable and unpredictable. Avoid.
These America first dudes don’t identify as Nazis anymore and it’s ineffective to refer to them as such. It’s a new form of white supremacy and a butthurt reaction to feminism under the guise of edgelord “humor” and reactionary content reeking of a desperate need for attention
@NotSoP3ng@OrianaNichelle Well yeah because people who appreciate movies know how to shut the fuck up and people who *only* go see big dumb Hollywood movies are just looking for a reason to leave the house
I have to compartmentalize a bit because when I start thinking about my life 2 years ago too much I want to beat the literal fuck out of younger me. Are you fucking stupid? My heart is so much happier and I mean heart attack from stress risk wise
