Mike Rogers clobbered Abdul El-Sayed in the Michigan Senate debate on Thursday night in Grand Rapids, and called him out to his face for being a fake doctor. This was the first time a lot of voters heard it said, and it landed hard.

El-Sayed calls himself a doctor and a physician. He has a medical degree from Columbia and a four-week internship at a Manhattan hospital. He doesn’t have a medical license. Read that again. He doesn’t have a medical license, and he still calls himself a doctor. Rogers said it plainly. If a patient walked into El-Sayed’s office and he tried to treat them, he’d go to jail. That’s not a threat. That’s the law.

El-Sayed’s answer was his résumé, his degree, his public-health job, and his claim that Rogers was changing the subject. A degree isn’t a license, and a license is what lets you treat a patient. El-Sayed has been selling himself as a doctor even though he doesn’t have a license to practice as one.

Rogers called the whole pitch a con. He also called out El-Sayed’s dual citizenship, and the way El-Sayed’s own campaign is now contradicting what El-Sayed said about it. El-Sayed said in a 2016 speech that he carries dual citizenship in the United States and Egypt, and his 2014 résumé listed both. His campaign now says he isn’t a dual citizen and never has been. El-Sayed didn’t explain the contradiction on the stage. Instead, he called Rogers weak, cowardly, and a sock puppet for the administration. Rogers’ criticism of El-Sayed is a record a voter can check. El-Sayed’s criticism of Rogers is empty name-calling.

A man like El-Sayed running for the U.S. Senate on health care shouldn’t need a moderator to explain that he can’t legally practice medicine. But that’s precisely what had to happen Thursday night. Michigan voters have now seen the fraud. El-Sayed has been lying his whole campaign about being a doctor, and plenty of Democrats went along with the lie.

On the debate stage he defended abolishing prisons and defunding the police. His words: those sound pretty good to me.

Picture Michigan with no prisons. Every murderer and rapist back on the street. That’s the platform.

He’s trying to sand down the edges now. The record doesn’t move.

26 days. Vote for the country you want to live in. Safe streets, a real border, or the far left running the Senate.

Rogers did the job tonight. Now Michigan has to finish it!

The Jewish community is terrified of Abdul, and how can you blame them? He sympathized with the attacker who tried to blow up 140 kids in a Michigan synagogue. He campaigns with someone who threatens American Jews. He even takes money from radical, Islamic terrorists. When are you going to return the terrorist money, Abdul?

He sounds like an AI chat box that glitches all the time.

My beef with Abdul:

He says he’s a doctor. He’s not. He’s unlicensed.

He’s for abolishing the police. He deleted the tweet, but CNN found it.

His staff denied he’s a dual citizen w Egypt. Video shows Abdul saying he’s a dual citizen and he summered in Egypt.

He refuses to condemn the Muslim Brotherhood and Iran.

He blames terrorism on America’s policies.

He calls Israel bloodthirsty. Who uses that language?

He says he hasn’t taken a penny of corporate contributions, but his FEC report shows he received $1.9 million in contributions from 629 corporate executives, including from Nvidia, Google and Pfizer.

Abdul is a conman.
