When I have had 100% success with the method and time has shown that it indeed works and there is a mountain of evidence and you say it destroys the material when I have so much data over years of time to prove otherwise.

@SqueakyRawinu I should add that in the video I sent you on how to soften the toy, those ratios of 1:10 or 1:15 or 1:20 actually came from Dirk, the owner of horseplay toys who was also starting to experiment with softening toys around the same time I started. He is a good friend

@mikeinflat32 @SqueakyRawinu I have softened hundreds of toys for other people for 6 years now. When I started, I consulted a friend of mine who is a chemical engineer and researched the compatibilities of primary and secondary plasticizer compatibility.

@mikeinflat32 @SqueakyRawinu But one important thing is that you’re not “reversing” the migration of plasticizer. You’re replenishing it. Once you displace it, there are foreign oils in the material that need to come out first. Then you have to replenish what is now missing.

@mikeinflat32 @SqueakyRawinu If you keep getting skin oils on it daily, you’re going to have to keep removing them with a degreaser like dish soap and then add back in the plasticizer that was displaced.

@mikeinflat32 @SqueakyRawinu The pieces I have from 6 years ago went hard after they were left with skin oils on them for months. After adding plasticizer, they are still soft now 6 years later but I’ve not worn them again and not put more skin oils on them

@mikeinflat32 @SqueakyRawinu Also if you keep exposing the material to the oil that is displacing the plasticizer, it’s going to keep displacing it.

@SqueakyRawinu You’re so welcome! I hope you get it back to the way you want it. Only do tiny amounts because it takes days to soak in unless you speed up with heat. But it’s really easy to over do it and once you over do it, the seams all start failing so be very careful
