Sam Darnold is OUT for Week 9.
Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald confirmed Darnold won't play against the Cardinals due to a quad injury.
Darnold also suffered a rib injury against the Bears, but the quad is the issue keeping him out. He's considered week to week and won't be placed on IR.
Drew Lock will start against Arizona and could get another start in Week 10.
Garrett Wilson is in concussion protocol and is listed as day to day.
If Wilson is out for week 9, Adonai Mitchell and rookie Omar Cooper Jr will be in line for more work for the Jets.
Mitchell is coming off a career best 142 yard performance with a touchdown against the Raiders.
Sam Darnold gets absolutely leveled on the second play of the game against the Bears, the play where he cracked his rib.
It does help to explain the drop in play between the Chiefs game the previous week and the MNF matchup.
Calvin Johnson speaks on his time with the Lions,
"We got the team here in Detroit, we had the dudes. But, you can't win the Super Bowl on a budget. You gotta go all in."
The Raiders still believe Ashton Jeanty can be their bell cow back. Head coach Klint Kubiak said he "absolutely" believes Jeanty can handle that role in the NFL.
Jeanty played just 40% of the snaps in Week 8, handling two carries for nine yards. Rookie Mike Washington Jr. took over with 25 carries for 83 yards on a 60% snap share.
Kubiak says the workload will vary week to week, but Jeanty's role is worth watching closely.
"Record Ballon d'Ors, club trophies, and unmatched creativity already made the strongest GOAT case for many before 2022. The World Cup simply closed the argument for everyone else."
I don't know you can cook this hard.
Good morning, everyone.
May God bless us, keep us safe, and guide us through whatever comes our way. May everything we do today be according to His will. Have a blessed day.β€οΈ
