@LMupstate@BulwarkOnline He lacks class, dignity, and grace. He is an embarrassment to the office of the President of the United States. I’ve been on this planet for a lot of years, I can never recall such a lack of decorum or basic human decency.
@avillanueva3rd@Evan_Hand Your analogy breaks down because in tennis they’re measuring whether a ball was in or out they aren’t measuring intent. The VAR system breaks down. I was trying to measure anything that doesn’t deal inabsolutes. Nice try.
@avillanueva3rd@fredgeck@Evan_Hand They are not called goal lines in tennis, they are named specifically for the area of the court, such as baselines, service lines, etc.
@avillanueva3rd@fredgeck@Evan_Hand So in tennis it’s not called a goal line. It simply the lines on the court (base line, side lines, center line, etc). And those are far easier to judge by video and computer screens. The red card was largely about intent, and going into freeze-frame doesn’t really do any good.
@GareauShannon@Evan_Hand The ref didn’t call it, only after the VAR did it become red; hell, he didn’t even pull the yellow card! No, it’s hard to “move on” because we lost Balogun for the next round. Who else has lost players by a red card in the round of 16? I’ll wait. Oh your answer is none.
@STTDB1984@KirkHerbstreit We’ll see how your wisdom ages. Did you ever actually watch James Franklin coach a game against a ranked opponent? I’m pretty sure this is a great move and the right guy. Oh, and my sense is Herbie’s got a much better insight into college football than you do.
@Justin_cMiller Justin, the comment about one game away from the national championship is getting really old. You omit we had the easiest path and when it got tough vs Notre Dame, Penn State did not rise up - again! BTW, I am a PSU alumni and I bleed blue and white.
CMC will be a great fit!
