@CynSigil @Trish_daughter @Notwokenow I lost my birth certificate and SS card in a house fire. I moved to a different state. To get my driver's license, I had to get both documents replaced, and I did. I also had to locate my marriage certificate. All documents I should have on hand.

@CynSigil @Trish_daughter @Notwokenow My grandmother's original birth certificate was lost when the courthouse it was stored in burned. She also managed to get a replacement when she had to show it to get her social security when she retired. In 1983.
