seeing all these ot9 edits because of the empty space in snsd's seasons greetings teaser makes me realize that, despite everything that has happened, there are still so many people who miss jessica as part of snsd and hope to see all nine members together again.

and no, it doesn't mean we're not happy to see snsd continuing as ot8. we can appreciate the eight members and everything they've built together while still longing for the nostalgia of seeing all nine together.

because some things we once thought would never happen eventually did. jessica performing snsd songs at her own solo concert, appearing on snl korea with krystal, and now performing on a korean stage again. these moments remind me that sometimes, what once seemed impossible can still happen in unexpected ways.

i know the chances of an ot9 moment are small, but i don't think i'll ever completely stop hoping. as long as there's still a possibility, no matter how small, i'll always leave a little room in my heart for the thought of seeing all nine together again. 🤍

so let's just let everyone celebrate in their own way. some cherish snsd as ot8, while others still hold space for ot9. if you don't enjoy seeing ot9 edits, you don't have to engage with them or tell people to move on.

not every expression of nostalgia is a refusal to accept reality, and not every hope is a demand for the past to return. moving forward doesn't mean forgetting everything that came before, just as appreciating the present doesn't mean we have to stop cherishing the past.

we may not share the same hopes, but surely there's room for everyone to celebrate 20 years of snsd in their own way. 🤍
