The Trump Administration is considering removing federal protections and shrinking six of our National Monuments to pursue energy development. Doing so would impact the public’s access to these precious outdoor spaces and risk vulnerable wildlife habitats and cultural resources.
"Enough is enough. The state of Colorado continues to fail communities whose health is harmed by the air pollution from the Suncor refinery in Commerce City." https://t.co/dVLitWIcq3
We just concluded our second year of wolf restoration efforts, including the release of 15 wolves from British Columbia, Canada, as well as the five members of the original Copper Creek Pack 🐺
The Ninth Circuit today upheld a 2020 decision that struck down the basis for the previous Trump administration’s oil and gas leasing on more than a million acres of public lands in key habitat for sage grouse. https://t.co/5DIZkyQJSv
“Industry has sought to slash land protections for decades. Their congressional allies are now working to make that dream a reality by introducing unpopular legislation that would open the floodgates for polluting industries..." https://t.co/p3I4VBGclo
Today, our CPW Commission voted to adopt our staff’s recommendation regarding a citizen petition to delay CO's wolf restoration. They determined changes to the reintroduction efforts were unnecessary due to work that we have done to address the conditions listed in the petition.
“CPW has already addressed livestock groups’ concerns and made their requested management changes, eliminating the claimed basis to pause reintroductions. We look forward to seeing more paws on the ground in Colorado in the coming weeks.” https://t.co/E6lpDHAovB

“We have almost no information about how various pesticides affect butterflies generally, even the monarch,” Malfi said. @xercessociety https://t.co/lmIOl5bsE6
The EPA must, by law, ensure that pesticides don’t have “unreasonable adverse impacts” on the environment. The decline of monarchs & other native pollinators are clear evidence that the current system is NOT working. Read the full press release & petition➡️https://t.co/w6Z509ZQw5
Pesticides are a major reason so many native bees, butterflies, & other pollinators are in serious trouble. So why does the EPA only consider risks to honey bees when approving pesticides for sale?
Today, @earthjustice & Xerces delivered a petition calling on the EPA to fix this.
Pesticides hurt bees and butterflies. @xercessociety and @Earthjustice are asking EPA to better assess the risk to pollinators. https://t.co/KpLYIthiGo via @EENewsUpdates
Pesticide overuse is driving declines in insect pollinator populations globally posing a threat to human food systems, terrestrial food webs, and global biodiversity. https://t.co/RA46P2Js35
Most pesticides on the market have never been tested for their impact on the vast majority of insect pollinators. Earthjustice has petitioned the EPA, on behalf of the Xerces Society, to strengthen regulations and require essential data to protect these insect populations.
