I'm a cardiologist. I've watched fentanyl fill the empty chairs at America's dinner tables. So this news genuinely moves me.
The DEA just released numbers that should stop the country cold:
The lethality of street fentanyl pills has collapsed.
Two years ago, 76% of seized fentanyl pills contained a potentially lethal dose. Today: 29%. Fentanyl powder purity fell from 19.5% to 10.3%. The DEA called the shift striking.
And the human result is staggering. Opioid overdose deaths have dropped nearly 50% from their 2023 peak — from over 110,000 deaths a year to under 80,000. That's more than 30,000 Americans still alive who would have died at the old rate.
This is what sustained, all-hands pressure on the supply chain looks like. Intensified DEA enforcement. Relentless pressure on the Sinaloa and CJNG cartels forcing them to change how they operate. A crackdown on the precursor chemicals flowing out of China. Expanded naloxone access. Treatment programs finally reaching people.
Under this administration, the DEA just launched a Fentanyl Free America initiative to press the advantage — to turn a supply-chain weakness into a permanent win instead of a temporary dip.
That's leadership. Keeping the boot on the throat of the cartels when the numbers are finally moving in our direction. Thank you to everyone in this fight — the agents, the administration, the volunteers pulling people back from the edge.
But I'm a physician, so let me be honest about what this is and isn't.
This is fragile progress, not victory. The supply got weaker — that helped enormously — but a weaker supply can strengthen again. Colorado already saw an uptick. The cartels adapt. The chemistry evolves. And "fewer lethal pills" still means tens of thousands of Americans dying every year. 140 a day.
The lesson in this data is the one I preach in medicine constantly: prevention works, but only if you don't let up the moment the numbers improve. The patient who survives the heart attack and returns to the old life ends up back on my table.
Same principle here. We caught a break in the supply. Now is exactly the moment to pour resources into treatment, prevention, and enforcement — while we have the momentum — instead of declaring the war won and walking away.
30,000 lives. That's not a talking point. That's 30,000 empty chairs that got filled back in.
Let's keep them filled.
Before Obama’s presideny. The following didnt exist.
There was no ISIS.
There was no caliphate.
There was no Black Lives Matter.
There was no Antifa.
There was no war on police.
All of that chaos started under his watch. He didn’t stop it, he started it. Obama is the real Divider-in-Chief, and America is still paying the price.
Barack Obama was the biggest mistake America has ever made, because his goal was never to build America up, his goal was to destroy it.
And the saddest part, So many people couldn’t see how corrupt he truly was, because they were too busy worshipping him simply because of his skin color.
@StephenMStull@ClemsonInsider Possibly, but one thing is different though... Talent level/gap on defenses. It’s quite big and Goodwin didn’t do much with all the talent. Clemson also will return more starters than any other team in CFB next year. Maybe he’s the spark they need/vice versa. Maybe not, lol.
The 2025 WR room will be the deepest this group has been since 2019.
It’s not even close.
We are all the way back fam.

RFK Jr just slaughtered the Democratic Party and the legacy media. No American listening to Kennedy's speech today could ever consider voting for Harris. She has been appointed, no American has ever voted for her, and she has been closeted away for 35 days since her crowning in absolute defiance of all that democracy means and stands for. The absurdity of Harris' rise from persona non grata in her own party to unchallenged party appointee speaks to what the Left thinks of all Americans. The Left thinks we are all idiots and is banking on that fact, hoping that we are stupid enough to elect a radical candidate that they have intentionally hid from vetting because they know she is an empty suit. The world Kamala's fails helped create, is poised on the edge of Armageddon, and the Left wants you to vote for a woman they are desperately trying to cover for. The Left knows she isn't qualified but has circumvented democracy regardless. We might be at the most perilous world moment in some 60 yrs, we sit on the brink, and Kamala Harris is hiding from questions. The other guy is dodging bullets and coming from behind protective glass to check on a woman who had fainted. You decide, the Left is counting on the dumbing down of America.
@CathyReisenwitz@NHLakeLife You really don’t give a shit about logic, do you? You swerved so fast and changed the subject completely, because you don’t have a legitimate answer. It’s quite pathetic if you ask me or millions of others. How many times have you been out of this country?
