This administration is responsible for the most blatant attacks on the free press in American history.
What will be left of the First Amendment when he’s done?
No one party is immune from political violence. My family and I can attest to that.
Using the rhetoric of rage and calling some of our fellow Americans “scum” — no matter how profound our differences — only creates more division and makes it harder to heal.
We are at an inflection point in America. Violence transcends party lines — and the way to address it and have true peaceful debate is for leaders to speak and act with moral clarity. That needs to start with the President.
Rev. Dr. Howard-John Wesley: “Charlie Kirk did not deserve to be assassinated. But I’m overwhelmed seeing the flags of the United States of America at half-staff calling this nation to honor and venerate a man who was an unapologetic racist and spent all of his life sowing seeds of division and hate into this land. And hearing people with selective rage who are mad about Charlie Kirk, but didn’t give a damn about Melissa Hortman and her husband when they were shot down in their home, tell me I ought to have compassion for the death of a man who had no respect for my own life. I am sorry, but there’s nowhere in bible where we are taught to honor evil. How you die does not redeem how you lived. You do not become a hero in your death when you are a weapon of the enemy in your life”
I’m running for the U.S. Senate.
Billionaires have taken over Texas and taken over America — but together, we can take power back for working people.

I said I wanted to fix healthcare in the USA. That’s where I’m spending my money.
Some people think helping Americans get out of this healthcare mess we are in is important. In fact I think it’s the most important issue Americans face.
Some don’t. They want to talk about things I can’t impact, I want to talk about things I can change.
Healthcare will cost the typical American Family of 5 , 5x what they pay in federal income taxes. BEFORE deductibles and max out of pocket
It will cost your employer 30k for that same family. Leaving a lot Less money to pay to you.
And if you have a high deductible and high out of pocket plan, you are just fucked unless you are rich. Really tough when most people who don’t qualify for medicaid barely have $500 in the bank and avoid going to the doctor and just get sicker. Costing businesses and taxpayers even more.
All while there will be a debate about whether to extend ACA subsidies for 12.5m people. Which is simultaneously the most important and most worthless conversation our politicians will have.
It’s important that the money be there for healthcare. It’s ridiculously worthless because that money goes right into the pockets of big insurance companies for plans that have ~5k deductibles and 18k OOP max, which few can afford when something bad happens.
But hey. Let’s play gotcha about global politics instead of dealing with something that impacts all Americans and the economy more than any 1 percent interest rate cut ever will.
If it is called the Department of War, can we finally acknowledge it commits Acts of War,
which require Congressional Declarations according to our Constitution?
Odd move from the president who worked so hard to convince his base that he was anti-war - but no doubt he'd rather have folks puzzling over this than thinking about his deep bond with Jeffrey Epstein.
there could not be a clearer visual illustration that Donald Trump is turning our country into a playground for the oligarchs,
where they plot how to enrich themselves and take away our healthcare over steaks and ceviche
.@RepThomasMassie (R-KY): "I don't know if that's precedented in this country to have a president call legislators to say that they're engaged in a hostile act, particularly when the so-called hostile act is trying to get justice for people who've been victims of sex crimes."
@ChicagoDmitry Really hate losing Nico. But getting that number for him, the SDs would always go. Guiu coming back after a poor fit of a loan at Sunderland think just dead him up for 15M sell next summer
Neil deGrass Tyson: "How sad it must be believing that scientists, historians, scholars, economists, journalists would devote their entire lives to deceiving you, but a con man proven in court to be a lying felon is your beacon of truth & honesty"
Medicine and public health have added three decades to the human lifespan. Vaccination alone produced 40% of the reduction in child deaths.
And now a disturbed and unqualified man driven by crackpot theories is destroying the foundations of this work, including CDC.
kinda grotesque that our supposed point man in two efforts to forge peace only wishes for “one thing”: that his boss gets a prize for peace, not, you know actual peace.
I don’t think people realize how insane it is that the government sent this random guy to a torture prison in El Salvador, admitted they fucked up, fired the guy who admitted they fucked up, and now rather than just drop it they’re sending him to Uganda.
