@miradasurfs I like the smooth surface of the Lace Sensor Pickups because I do a lot of fingerpicking and the magnets always tear up my fingernails on my picking hand. My ‘61 reissue has rounded magnets so it’s not as bad as the plain pole pieces I’ve had on previous strats.

I was talking to a guy the other day named Tom who said he records some of the guitar solos for a Viking rocker named Peyton Parrish over in Europe. I hadn’t really listened to that kind of stuff before but I checked it out and it’s pretty good. He was telling me he’s recorded a solo he was really proud of and when he heard the release the execs had chopped the solo to a few seconds and he was pissed. I’ll be glad when guitar solos reign supreme again.

@Peal8888 Wow, she’s so young there. I was about 10 years old when this came out. MTV was kind of brand new and I’d go into my big sister’s room and watch it every chance I got. I remember hearing this song a lot. The hair! I miss 1980’s hairdos.

@NgocThach74 It does sound really nice. I remember hearing it a lot on the radio when it came out where I was washing cars at a body shop in my early twenties. Funny how songs bring back memories like that of where you were and what you were doing when you first heard them. Music is magical.
