@mopbobol@Senators@NHL@FlaPanthers Not to mention he goes from paying over 50% in taxes to a zero tax state which happens to be warm all year round and happens to feature his brother and two recent cup wins. This is a no brainer. And I don’t blame him.
Two playoffs appearances in 8 seasons. Two first round exits one of which was a sweep. Drama within the locker room. 2 general managers, 5 different coaches. Erik Karlsson
Mark Stone
Matt Duchene
Mike Hoffman
JG Pageau
Connor Brown
Alex DeBrincat
Josh Norris
All traded away. Does that sound like success?
@mopbobol@Senators@NHL@FlaPanthers So a player needs to stay with the same team throughout their career? No matter how shitty their boss is? Would you? Would you stay at a company that consistently shits the bed, limiting your ability to be successful?
@mopbobol@Senators@NHL@FlaPanthers So what will you say when McDavid leaves. The guy can’t hack it? Or maybe your Canadian teams suck and can’t put together consistent contenders
@epcotadam@wyshynski What collapse that was a stacked avs team against a stacked devils team that won the cup the year before. They ran out of gas against a better team
@TheBaumannDaily@ryanwhitney6@BizNasty2point0 McDavid is the best player on the planet won the Conn Smyth, and he can’t win a cup. Why because the team around him wasn’t good enough to win. Quinn dominated. Look in a devils fan and you can’t deny that without Quinn the wild don’t get past Dallas
They have it... Those players need to play to their abilities before you shoehorn in some throw away player that couldn't hack it next to McDavid and Celebrini. What on earth makes you think he'll recapture his form here. What evidence suggest thats worked for anyone else we've brought in. Jack needs to be Jack, Nico needs to be Nico, Bratt needs to be Bratt and Timo needs consistency. You could plug MacKinnon in there and it wouldnt be enough unless the rest of the team starts playing to their expected output
It has nothing to do with Sheldon. Jack is surrounded by Elite players. He doesn't have to try to do everything himself, which essentially turns him into a turnover machine. Plus you can see a difference in Jacks effort here vs. with the Devils. It was clear he was doing just enough to not get hurt before the games. This was all he cared about this year. Now he's here and he's turning it on.
@justhere4fun87@ryanwhitney6 You’re not wrong. But Quinn doesn’t solve jacks inability to stay healthy. Quinn doesn’t magically fill a top 6 sniper role. Quinn doesn’t make saves consistently. He would make the team considerably better without question. But there are still too many holes.
@justhere4fun87@ryanwhitney6 Did they fail or did the wild Win. The devils weren’t going to beat that package even if they had the cap space. I don’t think any team really would. Moreover given how many holes the devils have I don’t think they’re in a position to gut their pipeline for one player.
