im not even going to say where i think this goes.

what i will say is that it was obvious if you're cultured in one piece lore.

and most will cope because they talked down on it because people referenced the manga paneling on the cards

What most people who did talk down didn't realize because they probably didn't read or watch the manga/anime is that each one of the manga scenes depicted in the background of these cards are "defining moments" in each of the Straw Hats crew pirates lives.

Study lore so you can find plays when you explore 🏴‍☠️

@point_onefive I’m thinkin the Gear 5 SPs, Gear 4 manga, and the event Gear 2 will always be sought after. Event card not doing numbers like the manga version, but people that are priced out gonna look to the next best thing.

Still buyin OP13 over it all day but I think the hype is warranted.

The direction in which the Log Pose is pointing 🧭

As "older" sets of OPTCG (OP01- OP09) begin to climb back from a cool down and rippers rip, the scarcity of these sets will continue to grow and the price increase will follow suit as it should.

I think people are starting to gradually understand the how "limited" the prints were for all sets across the board especially for the first two years of the TCG.

Bandai was attempting to be successful with One Piece TCG and i think they played it safe by printing lower quantities of OP just in case it didnt stick like the previous CCG's across the board in the early 2000's. I.e Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, etc.

But to everyone's surprise, mine included it FAR exceeded our expectations. It blew past them and we are now enjoying the ride of what could be the future of trading card games.

That being said, with limited supply of sealed from OP01-OP09 getting constantly bought, ripped to chase grails, and stashed away the price will only increase in perpetuity.

When this happens a lot of people will be out priced on opportunities to buy and rip their chases in each set they desire, usually its the mangas.

What I mean by this is that it will get more and more expensive and much higher risk for people to buy a box at 400-1100 to chase a couple cards they want from a set.

Whether its a Zoro-Juurou, Boa Hancock Manga or a Luffy wanted poster things will get increasingly more expensive and increasingly more risky to obtain them through ripping packs, especially with mapped cases and dead boxes on the market.

Here's my point 👇

with sets increasing in price and risk to pull the card you want dramatically increases..there is one set that offers a substantially higher amount of reward for the risk involved with chasing cards

ITS IS NOT PRICED IN YET.

PRB-01

At some point people will be priced out and ripping of old sets will slow down and hoarding will begin making things even more expensive and the odds of pulling slightly less likely / much more riskier.

Why buy an "expensive" booster box/case of a specific set to chase 1 manga (excluding op09 which has 5).

The reason i say PRB-01 isn't priced in yet and will be 3k+ a box in 1-2 years is because of it offers players, collectors and degenerate rippers the chance to reap a great treasure any pirate would want.

To me as a gambling pack ripping degenerate there comes a point where the bang has to be worth the buck and I believe we are amidst the inflection point of this.

Why would i rip open any of my PRECIOUS AND SCARCE sealed older sets whether its a case or loose box to chase 1 to 3 cards where the box is going to hit one of those at any given lucky moment when I can take a chance on PRB-01 and hit a god pack which today a raw god pack carries the value of $17,000-$25,000?

To me its a easy thing to specualte and decide on and that's why I personally only rip PRB-01 currently.

Yes the packs are a bit pricier than some sets but the reward is unmatched especially with the market moving the way it is.

PAY ATTENTION TO THESE KEY FACTS 🧠

1: PRB-01 is UNMAPPED , it doesn't have a pull schematic

From sleeved boosters to loose booster boxes to cases there is no map.

Meaning there's no such thing as a dead box when there's always a possibility of hitting a Manga God Pack. Not to mention the possibility of hitting a Nami or a sought after Gold don including Luffy's or Zoro's.

2: God pack manga are much more rare and low pop than the original manga's from their respective sets.
There are FAR fewer PRB-01 mangas in circulation raw or graded than there is any other mangas from any other set.

Think about that.

Original Mangas command the price they do rightfully so they are the OG's...
but do not let that distract you at the under pricing of the rarer variants that you can ONLY obtain if you PULL A GOD PACK. understand now?

so my question to you my fellow pirates is this:

would you rather spend $500-$1000/booster box for your chance to pull ONE chase or pursue a slightly higher price per pack for a much much greater reward?

the answer should be obvious, and it will only get more obvious as every older set (OP01-OP09) gets more scarce as time goes by and more people rip to chase their grails.

PRB-01 IS IN MY OPINION UNDERVALUED BECAUSE PEOPLE SHORT SIGHT IT AND THINK " OH ITS JUST REPRINTS" and this is where they will sell themselves very very short in the mid-long term for this TCG's existence.

One Piece TCG is only going to get bigger and more popular.
Eiichiro Oda and his beloved manga has flipped superman for best all time selling comic and is on the track to be the best fictional series of all time flipping Harry Potter and it will.

People genuinely love to play, collect and trade this TCG far beyond what we realize even in todays market.
