Sorry, I don't normally make posts like that and I know I haven't been around here much. But the tadc finale hit me really hard and I've been processing a lot of it.
I think Jax is incredibly well written and some of the best trans/lgbtq rep we've ever had. I just don't want to see him get dragged over the coals because you all think that people aren't complicated and the lgbtq experience is so easy and linear.
Going back to this. I keep seeing people shitting on Jax. I'm so sick of people not getting off the internet. Jax is such a well written character. Before I continue know that I'm using he/him pronouns bc Jax was using those pronouns. That's what they were comfortable with.
Finally watched the tadc finale. Jax deserved redemption completely. I almost had to walk away during his backstory because it shook me to my core. I never expected to relate so heavily. Don't ever try to tell me he's a piece of shit if you haven't been through what he has.
When everyone is out to get you and everyone is only being 'nice' because you're doing something for them...And is what you're doing enough? When it isn't what happens? If they knew the real you, the way your dad or your mom did, you know what that costs...
// SPOILER
A lot of people don't understand that Jax mom was not only abusive, but took advantage of Jaxs to try forcing a role that didn't belong to them, her husband's place place
Damaging the perception of love into "If I'm vulnerable they will use me."
