- ป้องกันการซื้อเสียง เพราะผู้ซื้อเสียงตรวจสอบไม่ได้ ว่าผู้ขายเสียงเลือกจริงหรือไม่ จึงไม่มีประสิทธิภาพ
- ปกป้องสิทธิ์จากที่ทำงาน เจ้านายไม่สามารถบังคับให้ลูกน้องเลือกใคร และส่งผลกับสถานะการทำงานได้ (ขู่จะไล่ออกถ้าไม่เลือกนาย A)
- ปกป้องสิทธิ์จากผู้ให้เช่า , ครอบครัว (เหตุผลเดียวกับที่ทำงาน)
