Still the energy problem will remain unsolved but if you reduce gas for heating, it’s a step forward.

Retrofitting pipes in towns to geothermal pipes from a district heating plant. I’m not knocking it, I’m just highlighting potential costs

It’s quite logical to expect that there will be HUGE oil shortages and disruptions will last for a long time (while Iran implements toll booth and pipelines fix)

These level of entitlement one must have to think they should do it on the average joes behalf. 500k citizens protesting in Dublin would also shut the city down.
