This might sound a little weird but the reason I love Hermes agent is that to me Hermes is about as close to agentic metacognition as one can get.
The agent kinda sorta becomes “aware” of its own processes and learns how to learn, solve probs, and make decisions. In a way it improves its own planning and evaluation strategies.
There’s no magic here. The harness engineering is off the charts. But it sure feels like magic. Big ups to @NousResearch@Teknium and the team 👍👏🏽🔥🚀
DeepSeek V4 Pro and V4 Flash are live on OpenRouter!
@deepseek_ai's latest models show a huge jump in capabilities compared to V3.2, and meet or surpass current SOTA models across a variety of benchmarks.
The Hermes ecosystem (@NousResearch) is on fire today.
hermes-webui dev @nesquena is trending as the number one Python dev on GitHub today. Ahead of Christian Byrne and sensei Andrej Karpathy himself 🤯

Mistral just open-sourced a text-to-speech model that beats ElevenLabs.
3 GB of RAM. Runs locally. Free.
The thing people were paying per-word for last year runs on your laptop now.
AI literally cured my depression lmao.
i understand this perspective and people probably won't believe me when i say i feel the exact opposite of this. i suffered depression and then AI came along. i now have faceless yt channels, shipped projects for clients, built countless internal tools and my productivity is at an all time high.
i might get backlash for this for i believe this perspective (post you quoted) usually comes from people whose primary motivation for building is money. while those of us who are pumped up about AI primarily love building and creativity. we know that money is a byproduct of our hustle + creativity, which is why all i can think about is how to use AI to overcome any obstacle. also, i just need enough money to pay my bills. i could not care less about lambos and expensive 5 star dinners.
i love tech and AI makes learning and building tech super fun and super fast. everything else is a matter of perspective.
