@Calvbetton@blueyorkie@JohnnyTheNic You mean when city needed to win at home on the final day of the season, only to go 2-0 down after 70 minutes and come back with 3 goals in 10 minutes to win 3-2?
Yeah totally boring that was.
Having said that, it would also have hundreds of comments calling me a lefty woke wanker and making the same "shat on" joke so.... Swings & roundabouts I guess
@SJBoam A witch hunt isn't necessarily a bad thing if the person you're hunting is actually a witch.
It's telling you've chosen to have sympathy for the corrupt Tory politician rather than those he's conned. And tbh, thank God it's putting you off a life in politics
@SJBoam And with regards to "Trial by public opinion", that's kinda literally what a politician signs up for (y'know elections, servants of the public etc.). The fact is the man was corrupt, chose not to disclose his corruption & was caught. My sympathy falls pretty fucking far from him
@SJBoam I'm glad you agree to ending second jobs but a significant pay increase is entirely unnecessary. Unless you think Β£80k (plus extraordinary benefits / expenses) is a low salary then you've lived a very privileged and/or blinkered life
@SJBoam The fact his wife committed suicide is obviously extremely sad and no one should mock such a thing
However, that is a disingenuous defence in the extreme. The man acted entirely in his own interests, committed corruption in public office, got caught then voted to change the rules
