🚨 If I was an unprofitable trader trying to finally make money in these markets, here's exactly what I'd do:
Most accounts don't die from bad picks. They die from bad sizing.
Say you have $100,000:
1) Risk 1% per trade. $1,000 max loss, set before I buy
2) No position over 10% portfolio. $10,000 max.
3) 20-30% stays in cash. Cash is a position
4) Spot only. No leverage
5) Sell a third into strength at +25% of the way to target, another third at +50% of the way.
6) Down 3% in a month; cut size in half
Making money is step one. Keeping it is the whole game.
Do you break your rules often or do you have the discipline required?
They’re doing a great job of making 99% of the market lose their shit in this range.
Only 1% will catch the next leg.
Holding through this kind of crap is brutal... but this is what it takes to stay positioned for the big moves.
It’ll be worth it in the end. Pay-tience.
Big congratulations to the @zksync airbender team for this milestone.
At this point, I consider the battle for speed to be definitively won, and the top priority for zkEVMs should shift fully to security.
To me that means formally verifying
(i) equivalence of the arithmetization to the ethereum spec
(ii) a hard maximum bound on (prover cost) / (amount of gas in block)
(iii) security of the proof system itself
