@BushidoSpirit8S@yetye144 2. I do not understand why you are attempting to One Piece the Guts story arc. Miura made it clear he had no intention for that kind of story, there was going to be a definite conclusion whatever the outcome. My guess is that Griffith was going to get his ass beat gruesomely
@BushidoSpirit8S@yetye144 1. dude Griffith was so butthurt by losing to Guts in a duel that he went and banged the king's daughter like an idiot, and got himself tortured within an inch of his life. this is beta behavior, not the behavior of an uberchad who affirms fate without resentment....
@BushidoSpirit8S@yetye144 sounds like you're the media illiterate one if you think Berserk was written to tell a Sisyphean tale for the main character, a total badass who kills demons and swings a big ass sword
also didn't Hitler literally write a book called "My Struggle"? you rightoids make me laugh
@BushidoSpirit8S@yetye144 Guts is literally plucked out of the eclipse by skull knight for being "the struggler". What is the difference between being a hero and being "the struggler"? Guts' arc is Herculean not Sisyphean
@BushidoSpirit8S Also the "organizing the chaos of one's passions" can only be attributed to Guts. It is his love for his friends that keeps Guts from succumbing to the Berserker armor and total abandonment to rage. Griffith got himself tortured for succumbing to his passions
@BushidoSpirit8S No one is crying here lol. Eternal struggle cannot exist without will and according to Nietzsche all willing is will to power. It doesn't necessarily mean will to political power or a crown. Killing Griffith and protecting Casca is Guts' will to power.
@BushidoSpirit8S Guts has good reason to seek vengeance, and it is not the only strength he finds to keep going. It is his love for casca and the group he forms post-eclipse. "For what is done out of love is always beyond good and evil"
I know my Nietzsche.
@BushidoSpirit8S yeah that's why he raped casca in front of guts, because he totally wasn't a resentful pos lol guts was what stood in the way in his mind and he hated him for it
this overman description applies more to guts than griffith
@efwefwefefrpgm@ranger_lapis@BushidoSpirit8S that's not entirely accurate. Nietzsche did not believe in free will as most people think of it. Will was seen as something multifaceted and not entirely based on the conscious mind. He was more a free will skeptic than a determinist
