It is not right to chase away Burgundians in Kenya. If indeed focus was to be on illegal immigrants then we have wayore others than Burundians.

The only thing is that these others are being prepared to vote illegally but Burundians are being used as scapegoat.

Thinking more about this weekend’s Mass readings….

The Church believes in predestination—but not in the grim caricature many Catholics have been taught to fear. It means that before you ever sought God, He’d already willed to draw you into the life of His Son.

That’s why grace can feel like discovery: a desire to pray, sorrow for sin, or the recognition that Christ is worth more than everything competing with Him. We remember when faith became real, but that wasn’t when God began acting; it was when we first noticed.

Predestination isn’t fatalism. It’s God’s eternal love taking shape in time, until the person who thinks he’s found the hidden Treasure realizes that the Treasure has been seeking him all along.
