I assumed, like many, that electric vehicles (EVs) weren't as green since most electricity in India is generated by burning coal, plus the transmission losses and emissions from battery production.
@tarunsmehta recently explained why EVs are still much better emissions-wise.

Due to the batteries being so expensive to replace, electric scooters are abandoned because disposing of them any other way is dangerous and expensive. Disaster🤦🏼♀️
