Hazrat Ali (A.S) was a magnificent commander, an embodiment of courage and bravery, and an ocean of knowledge and wisdom. He (A.S) was an exceptional Caliph of the Muslims, possessing a gentle and affable demeanor and captivating eloquence. Yet, on the battlefield, the mere mention of his name and presence would strike fear into the hearts of the enemies of Islam. Above all, he was the protector of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.

Shaykh-ul-Islam elucidates different definitions of "Hilm", stating that:

Hilm is when anger is controlled, and the wrongdoer is also forgiven (forbearance).

When a person's nature develops such self-control and inner calm that anger does not arise at all, this state of the heart is called Hilm (forbearance).

Today, there is an overwhelming abundance of information in the name of knowledge, but it lacks wisdom.

The topic of today's lecture is "The Forbearance (Hilm) of the Prophet ﷺ." Hilm means patience and tolerance.

When circumstances arise that would typically provoke anger, yet a person refrains from becoming angry, and their nature remains calm and composed, this state is referred to as Hilm (forbearance).

"When an atom splits, it divides into smaller particles such as electrons, protons, and neutrons. Even to this day, no scientist has directly seen these particles, yet science does not deny their existence. However, when it comes to the matter of God, the same scientific mindset questions, 'Why believe if it hasn't been seen?' Isn't this an apparent contradiction?"

Formerly, there used to be infirmaries, but unfortunately, now hospitals of disbelief have emerged. Online groups have been formed under the name "Ex Muslims". Those who are running these online groups have countless shortcomings in their own lives; they are not on the path of guidance themselves.
