@swanny A little test automation can go a really long way. There's the chance they're just using it as a gate, and the actual job expects you to do little to no automation.

My advice: learn and experiment enough to get past the gate. Don't claim to be expert, just eager. Good luck!

I'd rather have them ask "okay how do I get this thing that I need?" rather than just continuously bombard them with new concepts.

@iamjorichards We use Jira at work, but sometimes I find Trello much quicker for organising my workload if I have tasks that span multiple projects and boards. They're just one-liners that remind me of all the things I need to get done.

@charrett I think it depends on the context, but in general: getting things done in a healthy way, communicating openly and respectfully, providing new and useful features, and not piling up massive amounts of tech and test debt.
