I was laughing when Stell did the Brazillian dance. I thought it was intentional until I saw Pau, Ken and W3's reactions. And this made me so happy.

It means they were still having fun, they were present. Classic SB19. What I mean is, they were entertaining the audience, not just putting up a performance. That's the very essence of a festival. And it showed. Their crowd is one of the most engaging despite the scorching heat. Lollapalooza should give them a bigger stage and better time slot next time.

You don't understand how vocally and physically taxing it is to perform the songs on SB19's Lollapalooza setlist.

The fact that they delivered DAM, Gento, Lawless, Emoji, MAPA, Wakas, VISA, Dungka, and Crimzone back-to-back, with little to no real breathing room in between, is already a massive flex. They had to fit all of that into a limited festival timeslot, yet they still managed to sing live, execute demanding choreography with new dancebreaks, maintain stable vocals, and command the stage from start to finish.

That kind of stamina, vocal control, and consistency isn't something you can take for granted. It's the result of years of disciplined training, experience, and relentless hard work.

If you know how challenging those songs are individually, you'll understand just how insane it is to perform all of them consecutively at that level. That's exactly why their Lollapalooza set deserves recognition.

They could have performed WYAT, I Want You, Quit, Memories, Time, Toyfriend and other mostly English songs that would be more “attractive” to American listeners.

But no, they chose DAM, MAPA, Wakas, Dungka, Visa, Crimzone. Songs that more deeply embody the Filipino experience of grit, struggle, hope, and family in expertly-written soul-wrenching lyrics and melody. It doesn’t get more Filipino than that.

@yesitisprecious As someone who has been to multiple US music festivals, the crowd on the first photo alone is already large for a Thursday 3:30 pm set. Historically, not much people go on Thursday. So on the last photo, to be able to attract a huge crowd like that is already an amazing feat!
