I made GeoGuessr but for the Quran.
you hear a recitation, you guess the surah and verse.
built it yesterday for when I had a lapse in memorization. hundreds of people have practiced on it since and i genuinely didn't expect this

There’s almost never a comprehensible proper diagnosis of salafism besides salafis themselves pointing out internal problems.
It’s these contradictory separate narratives that espouse some sort of intellectual insight but is actually just larp. It’s all larp.
On one hand, salafis are hopeless people. On the other hand, they are attacked for praising a relatively recent period of reformist wahabi emergence.
What can be said though is that the culture found in salafi circles is much better resistant to modern infiltrations. This has not been imitated by some other non salafi circles which is why some of the biggest non-salafi Islamic institutions (like Al azhar) ended up rationalizing interest with various excuses such as for example, riba not being applicable to fiat currencies.
Whilst it’s true that some may burn out from such ideological resistance or inability to compromise on certain religious values, that is more preferable on a societal level to the comprising in question. This is assuming that burning out is uniquely a salafist problem in the first place rather than a reflection of the individual and society.
Salafi and specifically taymiyan frameworks are definitely some of the more capable frameworks in addressing modern struggles and societal problems. This is if you are capable of looking beyond twitter and actually look at Salafi literature.
