@Apollo_SMVP Personal preference I guess. I like the nighttime look better in 1, tho I hear the second one is more accurate to real life but idrc. It had a nicer vibe and was more pleasing to look at.
@7Negative_Creep really unfortunate how it's one of the greatest television series ever made and also any recommendation of it needs the asterisk that a solid third of it is truly unwatchable garbage
@dementdCanadian@kismetfrances You can notice all you want, but Ant-Man outgrossed Black Widow, and Ant-Man and the Wasp outgrossed The Marvels, which was the biggest box office bomb in MCU history.
@RolloRouen need it in every movie and I just don't like it most of the time, even where it's justified. It's also crazy how the third Captain America film is basically an Avengers movie. I don't care that it's mainly from Cap's perspective, that's an Avengers movie.
@RolloRouen Yeah, though I didn't mind the Punisher all that much and he started as a Spider-Man character anyway. But overall I agree, it makes them feel like installments of the MCU rather than standalone movies. They do inhabit the same universe, so crossovers make sense, but you don't
@RolloRouen I recently rewatched it and it really does feel like that, but I wouldn't say it's the only one. The other pre-Avengers movies (even tho they aren't good) also feel like movies, made before the look and tone of these got standardized. Really wish we'd gotten more like Iron Man.
@realpariahberry@midnightlunachr It's fine, better than FFH and NWH, but I think it falls off after the first half or so. Not a big fan of Jean Grey as the antagonist, and I didn't like how they immediately brought back MJ and Ned, I wanted them to take full advantage of the spell and use other Spidey characters
@HoppeanJuuzou Case in point. 99.9% of people have no idea what Nazi means and use it as an umbrella term for any far-right ideology. You have to be historically illiterate to be surprised by Nazis or Fascists using rhetoric similar to Communists.
@philliplede The first few times it was funny, but genuinely, how does one manage to mess up repeatedly like this, especially someone in the business of, you know, talking? Is it a condition or something?
@mon_21mon@justMizuyuki@Serenity_Seal It's not twisting history to say the Yuan were foreign invaders who put themselves on the throne, and that the invasions of Japan were another attempt at expanding the Mongol Empire, just as the conquest of China had been. The Empire of Japan and Japan during the Imjin War were
