@Amekage_1 as far as i am concerned he can have any opinion he wants about Jews, so can I. But bringing that into your professional life shows EXTREMELY bad judgement. Bad judgement leads to a bad reputation, a bad reputation is bad for employers. Maybe he deserves some embarrassment
@pdb5906tsw india is one of five nations to soft land a rover onto the moon. the 5th state of matter, the einstein-bose particle? Bose was an Indian physicist. I agree with you that they are scheming bastards, but do not try to educate them on physics. know your place lol
@Diivanand@shweta_ai same here. For 2.5 years i attended a T5 public school in the US, initially chemistry, then applied math. My grades were OK (3.4 gpa) but i could never really adjust to the rigor. As classes got harder, i fell more behind, and eventually i dropped out lol
@Animesh_Tambi@pitdesi what’s the motivation in being a chess grandmaster? the rules are simple, and it’s just a board game. Turns out, to be world class at chess, and to be world class at spelling, you need intelligence, dedication, and strategy. That’s the motivation, it is to show off your IQ
@walrasianmfg@eulerianham so what? maybe someone is more interested in discrete subjects ( algebra, number theory, combinatorics) and just takes analysis in the last year for the requirement
@mean_field_zane you’re probably a narcissist so people find it hard to get along with you. another guy mentioned that as well. Even in this post, you mention others obligations towards you and you frame your issues as being uniquely terrible. Maybe you’re just hard to be around
@aimeebalthazar@Carboniferoys how many were actually successful in life though? i feel like Mensa appeals more to people who don’t have much going on, who are insecure about failing to live up to their potential (not directed at you). which is why i would have some reservations about signing up
@aimeebalthazar@Carboniferoys I recently figured out I qualify for Mensa because of an IQ test i took at age 7. I am 20 now lol. I don’t put much stock in IQ, but when you were a part of it, did you meet any actually intelligent people? like people who had technical careers they were passionate about?
@BoringBiz_ Competition math is number theory, combinatorics, maybe some algebra, maybe some analysis. Hard for sure, but it’s like being a chess GM- 15% baseline talent, 85% practiced tricks. I would say research and coding matters more.
@MartinShkreli Btw, what's their retainer and hourly rate? I want to do the math on how many medical bills could've been paid with the money that is going to defend this spoiled, Ivy League, narcissistic, theatre kid who is pretending to be a revolutionary.
@MartinShkreli If Luigi DIDN'T do it, as his lawyers are arguing, then he is getting credit for something he didn't do. If he DID do it, then why is he trying so hard to convince us otherwise? Truth is he's guilty but doesn't want to give up his freedom. He should be a man and face the music.
@3shag777@TheCinesthetic it’s cool sometimes, but the more you smoke the less fun it gets, like seriously. I was a mild pothead at best, but even I got over it. do it every now and then if you want, like couple
times a year
