Any #FutureQMUL student who is worried or anxious about money troubles and are hoping of getting a bursary, this year they took a hefty cut. But thanks to a great group of students @qmoccupy there are alternative measures in place for you next year!
EARLY MORNING ACTIVISM ALERT! We're on strike from 6AM and on a protest from 5.30PM! Come and join us, show solidarity, and let @UoLondon know that we will not stop until ALL outsourced staff are brought back in house!

Principal Colin Bailey has just announced a slight increase in bursary funding for next year, in addition to the wellbeing fund that we had already secured. He'll never admit it, but this would not have happened without our occupation. Student direct action really does work! 💪🎉
It’s started! Picket line already up and running @UoLondon@LondonU with the early morning cleaners’ shift, part of biggest ever HE outsourced workers strike! We’re here all day, demo at 5! #wearetheuniversity#hastalavictoria https://t.co/IyzZ07Vs8T
Yesterday we passed a motion in recognition of the incredible mobilisation from staff at Queen Mary during the strike and thanking our students for their amazing solidarity. Following the Yes vote, QMUL UCU is committed to continuing this fight and keeping our momentum going.
Solidarity to all those in the UCU, especially our comrades in @qmul_ucu, who fought so hard to reject the UUK offer. We won't stop fighting regardless!
Good work, @qmoccupy and thank you. Without the QM Bursary, I wouldn't have been able to get my degree. (And I still worked flat-out over every summer.) #OccupyTheOctagon https://t.co/H4BCFCa8fo
