The name Benjamin O. Davis refers to two historic, trailblazing African American military officers: Benjamin O. Davis Sr., the first Black general in the U.S. Army, and his son, Benjamin O. Davis Jr., the first Black general in the U.S. Air Force and commander of the Tuskegee Airmen. Together, this father and son duo played a vital role in breaking racial barriers and pushing for the complete integration of the United States Armed Forces
Some people in the game are completely stunned by what the Red Sox gave up for Adley Rutschman. Said one evaluator from another org.: "I'm absolutely dumbfounded by this...This is literally one of the most ridiculous trades I've seen in 30 years."
Team source tells me #Orioles tried to extend Adley last November and again this past May and he turned down both offers.
Wasn't directly told "sign or you will be dealt in-season" but it was assumed by both parties he would be traded failing an extension.
@1057TheFan@KenWeinmanSport@TimBarbalace@Obafemi30 This was the best move to make. Adley didn't want an extension, the team is fundamentally flawed, as JLC has been saying for years. Get the most from him and go get guys who can hit and field the ball. Resign Rogers and pick up a starter in the offseason
@DailyFlockShow@JasonLaCanfora Elias forgot that baseball is more than just hitting home runs and striking out guys. It's about getting hits to keep pressure on the opponent, fielding the ball effectively, and understanding how to play the game. Those small things show up big when your team can't do them
@ryanripkenshow Sounds like a good move. If you read between the lines, he didn't want to sign an extension. So, trade him now and get the best possible return. If you want him in another year, sign him in free agency. If there is a 2027 season.
@eazy_jeezy Is he really torturing any one right now? He catches less than 50% of the time. And he really hasn't performed like the 1:1. Get what you can before he leaves and if you really want him they can re-sign him in his free agency period
Michael Jackson’s drummer, Jonathan Moffett, performs “Smooth Criminal,”
MJ once said: “My bass player makes a mistake, my guitar player makes a mistake, I make mistakes sometimes, but Sugarfoot never makes a mistake.”
@JasonLaCanfora@Sportsboomcom Hey Jason does this mean they are really going all in? Cash over cap to try and get to a Superbowl with Lamar? Or are they just hampering themselves and ot be able to address Offensive line needs?
@Bham314@jonas_shaffer@afkostka I agree with you. He was tough but he told the truth. He called the Orioles out of spring training. He said the Ravens offense line was trash and he was right. We would not know about things like cash over cap, which most teams do extensively but the Ravens. No homerism
@JaredStillman Despite playing two fewer seasons, Joe Burrow has missed more total games (23-24) than Lamar Jackson (17 including playoffs). Burrow's injuries have also tended to be more severe, requiring major surgeries while Jackson has dealt with more frequent but often less catastrophic inj
