Our lab’s brainchild is out! In this paper, we show inhibition of endocytosis is able to trap drug targets on cancer cell surfaces, which monoclonal antibodies can bind to, thus allowing immune cells to recognise and kill cancer cells. @SimpsonTeamUQDI #AcademicChatter
So proud to share our paper reporting a new gene #ERBB3 for familial #lungcancer in @hmg_journal. Great collaboration with @SimpsonTeamUQDI

Tonight I will sleep easy for the first time in a long time. >500,000 single T cell transcriptomes, all publicly available. Also accepting donations after we spent all our money on this study. 🤣 Thank you so much @Nature! Have at it, world! 🍾🍾🍾

Decided to 3D print some gel combs, ended up costing $0.5 for 10 rather than $100 for 5 from BioRad, might need to see what else can be made to help out around the lab with help from @UOWMakerspace@MolHorizons@ihmri

This morning emails consist of “your article is now published...” and “we regret to inform you that...”. Both within one min of each other. My review paper is out now and I’ve received my fellowship rejection letter.
Just catching up on Twitter this morning and saw multiple tweets regarding a fellowship that I have applied for. At this stage I’m assuming I didn’t get it. Twitter tells you the outcome faster than official emails 😂
Hanging out with my favourite nerds after nine weeks of WFH! So weird to feel grass again 😂 (we had to move a little closer to take the photo but we definitely kept an appropriate distance from each other after that)
Our lab has escaped and are outside. Having a picnic behind TRI.
Note: Stemetil not administered, lab members not clustered, social distancing applied😉
Received the outcome of my first fellowship application - I didn’t get it. So I took the day off from writing another fellowship and made a Singapore local favourite, chicken and potatoes curry puffs! Ugly but tasty.
