The last time the Florida Governor’s Mansion received enough snow to make a snowman was in the 50s! Here's First Lady Collins and her daughter in 1958.
Today, almost 70 years later, Mamie and I carried on the tradition and made our snowman on the front lawn.
Great to join @GovRonDeSantis @LtGovNunez today in Hialeah at @COHEABulldogs to announce record 1.25 billion dollar investment directly to teacher salaries! Thank you Governor for your continued commitment of over 4 billion dollars to our hard working teachers
.@LtGovNunez and I spent the morning in Levy County visiting with the staff and students at Cedar Key School, which opened today!
This area was hit hard by #Idalia and we are proud of this district for opening so quickly.
Great to join teachers from across America committed to education, not indoctrination.
I told them to hold strong to their convictions, never back down and trust there are leaders like Governor DeSantis fighting to let teachers teach, let parents parent and let kids be kids.
Today, Commissioner @SenMannyDiazJr celebrates Florida ranking number one in education by U.S. News & World Report. Under @GovRonDeSantis' leadership, Florida continues to be the national leader in education. Read the full announcement: https://t.co/blQU6a0U9G
Liz was a hard working selfless person who deeply cared about our state & our students. Her courage and determination will be always be remembered as an example for all of us. May she Rest in Peace.
Today, the Department is deeply saddened by the loss of our own Elizabeth “Liz” Moya. Liz was dedicated to the students of Florida and worked tirelessly to improve their educational opportunities. She will be greatly missed by her family, many friends and colleagues.

Manny Diaz is an advocate for our parents, teachers and schools. He has worked with me to keep indoctrination out and put parents in charge of their children's futures.
I'm pleased to have @SenMannyDiazJr return as the Commissioner of @EducationFL.
Thank you First Lady @CaseyDeSantis for joining us at today’s State Board of Education meeting to discuss the importance of resilience and perseverance.
Your leadership has been invaluable!
Sickened by callous words from someone who claims to be an advocate for children.
Karla, saying children w/ unique abilities are “dysfunctional” & equating them to political opponents is a new low.
I will make it my mission to let all parents know of the “hate in your heart.”
