Today was one of the largest Russian attacks, during which 600 drones and 90 missiles were launched at Ukraine.

Also today, Italian football legend Andrea Pirlo was spotted in Moscow next to Russian footballer Dzyuba, who openly supports the Kremlin’s policy and the killing of Ukrainians.

It’s sad to see childhood legends turn into moral bankrupts for whom nothing is more valuable than Russian rubles.

Shame.

Our responses to Russia’s prolongation of the war and its attacks on our cities and communities are entirely justified. This time, Ukrainian long-range sanctions reached the Moscow region, and we are clearly telling the Russians: their state must end its war. Ukrainian drone and missile manufacturers continue their work. I am grateful to the Security Service of Ukraine and all the Defense Forces of Ukraine for their precision. The distance from Ukraine’s state border is over 500 km. The concentration of Russian air defense in the Moscow region is the highest. But we are overcoming it. Glory to Ukraine!

Nelle ultime 24 ore sono piovuti sull’Ucraina 1.560 droni e una sessantina di missili. Ci sono decine tra morti e feriti e a Kyiv sono state fortunatamente estratte vive 11 persone da un edificio crollato a seguito di un attacco. Nel frattempo Putin ha ribadito la richiesta di regioni che non gli appartengono e che non ha la forza di conquistare a conferma del fatto che pone condizioni irricevibili con il preciso scopo di addossare all’Ucraina e all’Europa le colpe della prosecuzione della guerra e si è persino fatto autorizzare dalla Duma ad intervenire militarmente in qualunque paese ci sia un russo “ingiustamente” detenuto o oppresso. Un orrore al quale oggi si aggiunge anche la notizia secondo cui la Russia intende considerare i bambini ucraini rapiti (gli stessi che hanno finora detto di aver solo “messo in salvo”) come prigionieri di guerra.

Davanti a questo scempio, continuo a ritenere inaccettabile e inumano ascoltare personaggi ignobili come @c_appendino che continuano imperterriti a colpevolizzare l’aggredito anziché l’aggressore, a tacere davanti ai crimini più osceni, a pretendere che all’Ucraina vengano sottratte le armi che oggi proteggono le città, e addirittura a chiedere di riprendere l’acquisto di gas da società che utilizzano quei fondi per gestire campi di rieducazione nei quali vengono russificati e militarizzati i bambini sottratti alle loro famiglie ucraine, per indurli a combattere contro il loro stesso paese, oltre che continuare a finanziare le macchine di morte che devastano case, scuole e ospedali.

Credo che davanti a tutto questo non ci siano parole sufficienti per descrivere quale vergogna si possa provare, come italiani, nei confronti di chi sta difendendo col sangue la propria libertà.

Sappia Appendino, la quale potrebbe oggi stesso almeno fingere di contribuire alla pace, contattando personaggi molto vicini a Putin come Alexander Beglov e Valentina Matviyenko, sempre presenti negli innumerevoli eventi filorussi ai quali ha preso parte durante il suo mandato da Sindaca di Torino, che la ritengo indegna non solo di sedere in Parlamento, ma anche di vivere in una democrazia.

Today we came to the staff offices of the Venice Biennale and asked to speak with President Buttafuoco, who has been actively hiding from my personal communication as well as formal communication in my capacity as a participant of the platform for dialogue with Russian Democratic Forces at PACE.

The police blocked the door, and all turned their badges around - eventually someone said "their boss" will speak with me inside. They allowed just me and my husband in - and after taking photos of our IDs and having police force us to delete videos of their faces - the staff member - Francesca Oddi - said the president was aware of our presence but was not here. We asked her to call, and she said she didn't have his number, we asked if anyone in the building had his number and she said no (lmao).

We showed them the letter signed by 71 members of PACE, as well as our personal emails - and they said I could write a hand written letter they would guarantee hand delivery to him.

They made me sit on the floor and write a letter, which I did.

This is all happening while Buttafuoco makes press statements that he just wants dialogue, and any type of censorship is bad - but he goes thru every length to communicate with the Kremlin stooges, and makes every effort to hide from me.

What a shame of a President and a stain on this Foundation and a coward of a man. Afraid of little me, an exiled artist with a message of a better world and some questions - sounds just like Putin.

Ukraine's Paralympic team has reported pressure from the International Paralympic Committee:

"Never before has our team encountered such openly negative manifestations and even obstacles toward Ukrainians as representatives of the National Paralympic Committee."

Ukrainian Paralympians were reprimanded for a flag on the building where the athletes live, and champion Kononova was forced to remove her "Stop War" earrings.

The team is not allowed to gather in the common hall. And the family of medalist Radia had their flags taken away when they were cheering from the stands.

I am the Ukrainian skeleton racer who was wrongfully disqualified from the Olympics last month because of my “Memory Helmet.”

Tonight in Milano-Cortina, the Paralympic Games are opening. The Committee has bizarrely permitted Russian soldier-athletes to participate under the Russian flag.

The head of the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) literally stated that they don’t care about what Russian soldiers did in Ukraine. The problem is that we do care.

They are killing Ukrainians on the battlefield, bombing our cities, and committing genocide. Now, with this step of allowing them to compete, the IPC is giving them the opportunity to continue committing genocide by spreading Russian narratives with Russian flags and symbols.

They try to manipulate the situation by pointing out that the movement started after World War II, but during World War II the Olympic Games were cancelled, and German athletes were not invited and did not take part in the Games until 1952.

It looks like the head of the IPC doesn’t know the history of the Olympic and Paralympic movement at all.
What a shame.
This whole story is just getting worse and worse.

Vannacci era l’addetto militare italiano a Mosca quando Putin ammassava le forze armate sul confine ucraino. Secondo quanto racconta l’allora ambasciatore italiano in Russia, Giorgio Starace, a febbraio 2022 due volte interpellò il generale Vannacci per capire cosa stesse succedendo: pochi giorni prima dell’invasione russa dell’Ucraina e subito dopo l’invasione.

Prima che i carri armati di Putin varcassero i confini ucraini, Vannacci disse all’ambasciatore italiano di stare tranquillo: non ci sarebbe stato “un conflitto di vaste proporzioni”. Quando, pochi giorni dopo, Putin annunciò “l’operazione speciale” e la colonna di carri armati russi si mise in marcia verso Kyiv, Starace convocò una riunione d’emergenza per conoscere di nuovo il parere dell’esperto: “Il generale Vannacci usa un’espressione colorita: i russi entrano in Ucraina ‘come un coltello nel burro’ e in un paio di settimane avranno raggiunto Kiev e ottenuto la capitolazione di Zelensky”.

Questo per dire che il generale capisce poco in generale, ma è soprattutto nella sua materia che non capisce niente.

The company, Energon LLC, is under strict international sanctions. Yet these athletes compete freely.
