@mrdavidwhitley Citadel was empty headed glossy crap, but worse, totally boring. Even worse is the amount of money it cost, and the assumption of spin offs. The 2 leads had zero chemistry, their relationship completely unbelievable. Thoroughly awful.
@WillSchneid @Timobros Oh yes, Richochet is sadly forgotten, but ridiculously over the top, and gruellingly mean spirited. A 90s extravaganza with Silver producing, Mulcahy directing, Steven de Souza and Fred Dekker writing, and an insane performance by Lithgow. Worth a revisit
M3gan, The Hand That Rocks the Cradle meets The Terminator. Super trashy fun, great creepy robot design, especially the slow zoom shots with her staring into space. Not quite as insane as Malignant, but good stuff. Looking forward to a sequel. 3.5/5
@TheLybrarian There's so much in his filmography that's unimpeachably incredible, we're allowed to call the misses. Even bad Del Toro is pretty amazing. The other one for me is Crimson Peak. Stunning design and visuals, but it's just hollow, the plot is lacking, and Hunnam is just bad
@TheLybrarian Nope, you're not alone, I love the first one, I mean clockwork nazis and Rasputin, what's not to love. But I always found this one really flat and uninspiring. Doesn't hang together well, and I always found the Troll Market that everyone raved about a bit meh.
Evil Dead Rise - Fun roller coaster gore ride. Enjoyable but not that memorable. Some of the Evil Dead callbacks a bit too on the nose. Great performances, practical effects, and diopter shots though. 3.5/5
