Hello fellow developers,
For the past few days, I have been working on the project of Miro Clone.
So far, I am using NextJS for the frontend and Convex for the backend.
Please check my progress so far. Any advice would be appreciated.
System design interview rounds are supposed to be a conversation between two people to understand how the candidate thinks and chooses a solution rather than following a set of “pattern” already pointed out in some tutorials.
And the best way to test how a software engineer approaches a problem is to take a project from their resume, break it into pieces and ask them why they did something, how they did something and what design patterns they had in mind while following a rule.
This of course requires efforts from interviewers.
They need to go through a resume, check projects and come up with suitable questions. Sadly many don’t do it and hence follow a standard set of questions. Nothing wrong with that, but it will create another funnel like DSA.
In long term, interviewers who can do this process better will end up hiring better candidates.
@ankushdharkar@souravOs@RealDevSquad I also want to become a part of @RealDevSquad . I am fluent in backend with Javascript/Typescript and currently learning Go for more scalable and complex backends.
