87 candidates are selected this year in UPSC CSE from ST category. Of which 32 are just Meena, which is 37% of total ST selection.

Now think about this for a minute.

There are approx 700 tribes in India and in terms of number they constitute about 10 Cr of Indian population. Meena is one of that tribe and are 50 lakh in number which is just 5% of ST population.

1 tribe getting 32 seats and other 699 tribes (95% of ST population) together getting 55 seats. There are 200 tribes in Northeast but only 3 selections this year.

Now you tell me how is this fair? How is reservation helping other tribes? Isn't there a need of creamy layer even in ST category?
