@ElaineFreed It’s not unusual to find parasites in the meat of most fish, most of which is not harmful to humans if well cooked before consumption. If I see them I remove any I can prior to preparing I#or freezing the fillets.

@ElaineFreed No I haven’t seen that particular parasite. I usually don’t get into the guts though. I fillet the meat off the bones without breaking the gut cavity unless I’m checking the stomach to see what the fish has been eating or to recover an artificial bait the fish took too deep.
