Ibn Rajab رحمه الله said:
❝If the slave of Allaah perfects his Tawheed and his sincerity for Allaah and he establishes / fulfills all its conditions with his heart, and his tongue and his limbs then forgiveness for his past sins becomes obligatory.❞

Imām al-Qurṭubee رحمه الله:
“There is no difference (of opinion) that backbiting is from major sins and that the one who backbites another person then upon him is to repent to Allāh 'Azza Wa Jall.”

How strange… the traveler has forgotten his destination.
He is busy with provisions, comforts, and distractions, yet forgets where he is actually going.
This world is only a journey. How tragic to become so distracted by the road that you forget the final return.
Ibn ʿAbbās (رضي الله عنهما) said:
“It is disliked for a man to stand for prayer while he is lazy. Rather, he should come to it with a cheerful face, strong desire, and great joy. For indeed, he is conversing privately with Allah, and Allah is before him.
One of the righteous once said:
“When your soul calls you toward sin, reason with it through a gentle discourse, using this Āyah:
قُلْ أَذَٰلِكَ خَيْرٌ أَمْ جَنَّةُ ٱلْخُلْدِ ٱلَّتِى وُعِدَ ٱلْمُتَّقُونَ

The fasting person remains in a state of worship as long as he does not backbite anyone, even if he is sleeping on his bed.

Shaykh Salih al Fawzan حفظه الله:
“Whoever witnesses Ramadan and Allah gives him the ability to benefit from it; Allah has blessed him with a tremendous blessing that has no equivalent to it.”
