This Lady on Tiktok cleaning her house said something that really stuck with me: “Take care of what God has already placed in your hands, so He knows you’re ready for what’s next. If you don’t steward what you have now, you can’t expect more.” And that hit. Wherever you are in life right now the small apartment, the job you’re still growing in, the season you didn’t plan for honor it. Be responsible with it. Be grateful for it. Growth starts with stewardship. 🫶🏾
Co-parenting with a healed woman means she’ll put that child’s peace first, even if you never once protected hers. She won’t be bitter, loud, or messy… just disciplined, detached, and focused. That’s growth.
Lately, I've been including this in my prayer: "If I'm not meant to have it, Lord, please remove the desire from my heart to want it, and help me find peace in its absence."
I once had a patient that I delivered who prior to delivery was bubbly, happy and excited to meet her baby. After delivery she cried, and cried, and cried, and cried. It broke me. For the few hours I watched her before I transferred her to postpartum, she wouldn’t stop crying about how hard that delivery was and how she had nothing left to give. She cried for hours, she didn’t want to see or hold her baby. She was so sad and 4hrs later wouldn’t stop crying. I had to order a psychiatric consult for her cos I knew she was gonna have a hard time at home. Checked on her the next day and she was still crying. Her husband was so loving and supportive by her side the whole time, yet she couldn’t stop crying. She was traumatized. I’ll never forget her. Sometimes the “regret” is instant, other times it’s postpartum and years after. Your feelings are very valid.
I’m a mother and I still always encourage women who aren’t moms yet, to not have kids or to just wait. And this is coming from someone who has lotssss of support and love being one! lol seriously, enjoy your youth, funds, and freedom for as long as you can.
I absolutely 100% feel you especially as a single Mum and some of the challenges that do come with it. There are times I genuinely ask myself that is all these worth it with financially irresponsible fathers But upon critical thinking and just letting go most times the sense of balance tends to be restored.
I sincerely Pray that God restore your sense of being and balance optimally soon. It will all be worth it in the end.
Please follow the suggestion from Dr Ru above and Know emphatically that I am rooting for you and appreciate your effort Sis. God be praised Sis, Well done 👏✔️🙌🙏👍
